Promote your favourites

• Find out about your favourite band or composer. Tell friends and family what you found out
• Give a talk on why you like x piece of music rather better than y
• Have a battle of the bands – two people talk about and play a piece of music from a composer or band and everyone has to vote for their favourite

Champion a genre

• Find out about all the different music genres. Look here for a list
• Pick one genre each and become the champion of that genre choosing an artist or band or piece of music to share with others
• Choose a genre of music that you have dismissed in the past (or one you have always wanted to know more about) and find out about it. Who are the key artists? What are the seminal tracks, etc?
